If you were replacing both speakers, then I would probably opt for the 100 watt ones......I like to have a safety net just in case. One of the other guys here can probably tell you exactly what wattage the original speakers were.]]>Iowa Boy2015-07-03T06:38:12-00:00Re: 2x10 replacement

The Eminence Legend 10" model in there 16 ohm version is a good replacement, but if you want to keep the value of the amp up I would look into re- coning the originals, or at least hanging on to them!]]>stevem2015-07-03T10:45:30-00:00Re: 2x10 replacement

I own the same SC K150-8 2x10 amp in charcoal. My speakers were toast, so I installed the Jensen MOD10-50 speakers and love the tone. Musicians Friend has them and can be ordered in 16 ohms so you can wire the speakers in parallel for your 8 ohm load to the amp. Less than 50.00 each
Would running one Jensen MOD 10-50 work in parallel with one stock speaker? Or do I need to buy two Jensen MOD 10-50s to run them in Parallel? Or do you think I should buy a Jensen MOD 10-75, to run in parallel with the stock speaker?]]>ReverbJoe2015-07-09T16:23:58-00:00Re: 2x10 replacement

Just my opinion.

I guess its up to you. I'd replace both speakers with the 50 watt models. Buy 16 ohms and wire them in parallel. You could just replace the blown speaker and as long as they are in phase, you may get a good sound, or maybe not so good of sound. The other advantage with replacing both, you have fresh speakers and you won't have to worry about the original speaker that may be getting weak.
Just my opinion.

Have you experienced any problems with the two Jensen 10-50s in the combo? I want to use it pretty loud and I'm afraid of the 75 watts being a little too much for two 10-50s.]]>ReverbJoe2015-07-09T19:28:06-00:00Re: 2x10 replacement

To my ears, I love the sound I get, but everyone hears differently.
