Chicago Suburb Senior Member Ladies and Gentlemen - Kustom Bash II ~ Yes or No ~ October 6th and 7th ~ Indianapolis Fairgrounds ~ Single 20 Ft. spots are usually $425 ~ The Show guy will give us aprox. 50 Ft {two spots and the corner} for $650 ~ He is trying to work out the "stay late and play" with a guard, but that is not a for sure deal yet. But he needs to know soon, as he will be giving us the corner and has to hold those spots. So, if you would each E-mail me to confirm you are coming and willing to help with the costs - Which also should include Bud's costs if he can attend, please let me know by Friday - If the response is not there, we can plan for another time - So step up! Re: Last Call [message #526 is a reply to message #522] Wed, 02 May 2001 16:27 Anonymous ok you kustom freaks...just got off the phone with Bud and he says Oct looks good for him...and he's looking forward to it again...said we really made his day last year..and says to say a special thanks again for the blue head...its a perfect match his cab...oh yeah JC..on the red head...he says best he can figure it must've gotten left on the plane...probably in Cleveland right now..you can trace the flight schedules from Nashville last year on Delta's web site...sorry.. I know you're getting antsy...actually he says he really hasn't had time to get into it and I told him you had managed to hook a matching cab so the implied urgency for reclamation was laid down...I also told him how bad I had been picking on you about him really being my uncle Rob and how we pulled this kinda thing all the time just to get free kustom gear...the call was great as always and I got yet another neat Bud story or two out of it...but ya'll will have to come to Indy to hear those from the man himself...so for now...looks like Mr.Kustom will join us again and I'm sure looking forward to getting back together with all of you... Obviously again, flying in will be the way for me so I'm already thinkin' about what I can safely bring. 'Just came in for lunch and thought I'd check the Site. Count me in for Indy....depending on harvest weather, I ought'a be able to show up at least a little. I suppose if you've got the space, I would bring essentially the same stuff that went to Nashville. As for the jam, I'd play anytime, anywhere, but I have reservations about how that's gonna work out. So far, we have not enjoyed the luxury of having the TIME to leisurely get musically acquainted. 'Seems like about the time the jam looks promising, it's "Times up", time to pack up. I would love to have the time to listen to ET doing some skillful guitar work, to Don playin' some lead work, to Brad holding the pocket together, to Terry F. steppin' out on his geetar, to Dave playin' one of them gorgeous Kustom keyboards, and to JC (I KNOW ya can play, John). It takes a little time to feel each other out and mesh, and we didn't quite have the time down at Nashville. 'Sorry...I didn't intend to sound like I was ranting. Could we have some light jam sessions during the day, and would have more time for storys and history of our amps from Bud. There just isn't enough time in the weekend to crowd eveything in. I don't have have any peavey guitars, but will bring a very nice strat ET can jam on. Now that more are confirming the date, has anyone checked on lodging close to the site?
