I am aquiring a K200-2 head Serial # 43988. Any clue as to when this was made? Guessing early to mid 1969..
What kind of footswitch will this require for effects? can I make a footswitch for it?? What will I require for parts to make a functional device??? Thanks
Kraig

Kraig, if it is a B series K200 then you will need a two button footswitch. Any footswitch that is a simple push on push off will work. You will have to use a stereo 1/4" plug and then figure which switch turns on and off the effects.
The old K200A series uses a Switchcraft 4 pin XLR and on those heads you can replace the XLR jack with either one or two 1/4" stereo jacks. On the A series shorting the pins to ground turns on the effects. The K200B-4 heads requires two footswitches with two buttons on each pedal. The B series has two 1/4" stereo jacks on the front of the control panel lower left and right.
Left side channel has reverb, trem, the right side channel has selective boost and harmonic clipper. So on the B series amps you don't have all the effects running to one channel but they are divided. I never could figure out why kustom decided on the seperation, the 200A series amps have all the effects on the left channel.

Thanks I was hoping that was the case.... Parts should be easy to find. A box ,2 spst pushbutton HD switches and a stereo 1/4" cable and plug. And some tape to mark the effects on the box
