I figured maybe I better start this one under a new topic.

I know that all of the effects are "on" without the footswitch so I've got a question about the distortion effect and how it relates to Channel 2. If I dial up the Level and Effect pots everything seems to work properly. My question is about the volume of Channel 2 when the two pots are turned off.

Is it normal for Channel 2 to have very little volume (compared to Channel 1) if the distortion effect isn't being used? If I were to rig a footswitch to shut off the distortion, or just turn the effect off with some jumpers across the footswitch jack, will Channel 2 then have the same volume as Channel 1? I can still return the head if something isn't working properly.

Thanks.

When you turn down the fuzz effect control, are you turning it all the way off?

There is a switch on that pot that turns off the fuzz effect just like the foot switch. I can't remember if it is a push/pull or a rotary switch on that model, but if you just turn down the control and don't turn it off, it will greatly reduce the signal going through the pre-amp.

That could be the problem. I was just turning both of the knobs through their range of travel. I didn't notice anything that said push, pull, or otherwise but I will check. If it simply clicks to the left to turn off I know for a fact that I wasn't going past the click. I'll check it out later.

Thanks again.
