Hey guys,

A couple of questions about a K200-B1:

1. There appear to be two speaker output jacks on the back . . . what is the correct impedance to match with this amp? neither one is labeled.

2. The little RCA plug on the back -- is this some sort of "line out"? Or a footswitch? What would it switch? this amp has no effects whatsoever -- just two channels with vol, bright on/off, Treble, & Bass

3. Can I jumper the two channels together or will this fry something?

4. Is this a 200-watt or 100-Watt amp? Plate on the back says "Output 100W RMS" . . . so why is the model number 200? is it 100 watts per channel?

thanks for the help -- this will probably not be the last set of questions I come up with on this one!

Hello. Here are some answers:

1. These amps can play down to 4 ohms; your cabinet, if it has the stock speakers, should have a pair of 16 ohm speakers in it, giving it a load of 8 ohms. This way, you can run two cabinets together (check out the literature section of this site).

2. The RCA is indeed a line out. You can run a power amp with this jack if you want, or just use it as a general line out.

3. I don't believe jumping the channels together going from a "high" or "low" jack would work well, so if you want to jump the channels, use a Y cable or an ABY, but I don't think you'd really need to jump the channels since they are voiced about the same.

4. 100 watts RMS at four ohms, 200 peak. Kustom usually gave their wattage ratings in EIA peak, hence the model name.

Enjoy your amp!
