another new one to the site! I've been into a certain k-200 guitar and would like to know more about Kustom guitars in general. I'm also kinda on the hunt for another one like it as our little band is starting to gig and i'd love to have a backup. (hamfisted and string breaking player, sorry). thanks and howdy to all.

I just yesterday got a Kustom K200 guitar I won on eBay, and I LOVE it! It plays and sounds great (sort of Rickenbacker meets Gretsch), has a nice, wide, flat neck, and looks super cool (wineburst!!) to boot. I definitely think these guitars are forgotten gems. If you play out with 'em, I think there's a definite cool factor to them - who else have you ever seen play one?
I would definitely find another if you like your current one.

hey there, What model is it? I've got a k200a. cant seem to find a bridge for it. Nobody seems to know what came on it. would like to restore it to as close to original as possible. Any info. Whatever you do dont get rid of it.I've been told that they are pretty rare.Only produced from '68 to '69

I got one in 69 and used it until the eighties before I sold it. It played well. Had kinda weak pickups but many guitars of that era did. If the drummer I sold it to had'nt messed it up so bad I would have gotten it back. If anyone wanted to do a total restoration on it. The old girl would not be a bad guitar. I got a yet to have another semi bodied acoustical electric that I just ordered a Ric 360 with highgains instead. If you can't find another kustom the Ric would be another option for you.
