Quick question: Is it normal that R1 - the current limiting resistor for the pilot light - gets so hot that you will burn yourself if you touch it? I know it limits a lot of current, hence the 5W rating, but still curious?
Oh good call, I could see someone unknowingly sticking a wrong bulb in there. Went to go check but that thing is screwed on TIGHT. Either that hasn't been unscrewed in 50+ years or someone way over tightened it (or both?), but it's stuck. Gonna have to try some solvents or something, unless you all have any other tips for that particular bezel?
