Hello everybody,
I have a Kustom 100 Head serial 25163 and a 1x15" speaker cab. The cab doesn't have a serial number but where it says "Speaker" it says CTS handwritten in sharpie? The badge on the cab is a Kustom by Ross Inc., but it does not say by Ross Inc. on the head. I'm sure that someone on this page will be able to help me. Thanks in advance.

According to LesS's serial number chart, your amp is a model K200-B manufactured in June of '68. As for your cab, I have no idea, but I'm sure someone else here will be more than happy to help!

The model is actually a K100-1. I saw the chart earlier but it didn't match up with my model or my cab. That is why I asked. Thanks again.

Most kustom speaker cabs have no serial number. The six diget number on the cab speaker jack plate is a patent number just like the heads have. If you open up your cab, and provided you have the orignal CTS driver, it will have a production date.It will be six digets long. the first three,137 is the CTS code. The next diget is the year(8 would mean 1968) and the next two, the week of that year.Inside your 100 head, the 2 blue filter caps on the floor of the amp have a date, as do the CTS made controls mounted on the circuit board(s)IE six digets like the speakers. Hope this helps!

The latter kustom 200 speaker cabs with no taper top to bottom and the silver in the black grill cloth have serial number tags.I have never seen a 100 cab with a tag.

Actually, I have 4 100 cabs, and I believe at least 1 has a serial number. I would have to check the entire collection, but there is some earlier Ross stuff with serial numbers with the same tags as the heads. I will be home later this week and if I think of it, I will check. I had the same thoughts on the serial numbers as you have. But there they are.

I have a black slanted 100 cabinet with 2x12 CTS configuration that has a tag.....It says K 1003. This is a Kustom Electronics era cabinet with black grill cloth and chrome ports so I would call it after mid 68 and the "Ross" era. BC Cool
