hey all. i have a 1970 k100 and matching jensen 212 cab. i am wondering if anyone has any pictures of their jensen speakers so i can identify mine as being the same. there are no markings or brands on mine anywhere that i can find. they have the big square magnet and the chrome dust cap. i dont have any pictures of mine at the moment but im hoping someone on here does. i just want to verify that mine is original or if they are "after the thought" speakers. any help would be great. thanks!

The square magnet is the tip off to the CTS, or Eminence made driver.
If you want to see what a original to your cabinet vintage Jensen C12N looks like, with its black and gold lable, check out Jensen speakers listing on the ebay site.
The new Jensen company makes a C12N model again and they sound 96% of a match to my orignal ones from 1968.
The CTS guitar driver is a little lighter in the mids than a Jensen to my ears!

Jensen speakers have a 220 code, and the CTS code is 137. The best way to tell what speakers you have it take the back off. Then you know for sure. After 40+ years, no telling what might be in the cabinet. Also if the speakers are original, there should be a Kustom Logo paint stamp on the frames. Regardless of brand, each speaker should be 16 ohm each for a 8 ohm total load.

Thanks for all the input. I was able to take a look at my speakers. Nothing mentioned above seems to match up with what I have. My speakers are square magnet, silver dust cap. No brand stamped anywhere on it. "121638g" and "67 742" stamped on them.

Those should sound VERY NICE!!!!! I have a set of 4 from 1983 in a Risson 4 x 12 cab from Bob Rissi and beside it weighing a ton, it is the best sounding 4 x 12 cab I have ever owned....even over Vintage 1960 Marshall cabs. They are cheap to buy too. (the speakers).

Did kustom use these speakers or did someone put them in later? They did sound good. I actually swapped them for newer speakers that handle the lows better. I'm using mine as a keyboard amp. It sounds great with the Rhodes. I thought the extended range would be a little much for the "stock" speakers.

Kustom did use the CTS square magnet aluminum dust cover driver as there base line guitar/organ driver in the late 60s.
The next step up was the Jensen drivers, and up from that was the Altec Lansing 12" driver.
