I blew a resistor? or capacitor?(sorry i cant remember the specific name) in my KBA100 bass amp, and can easily replace it but I do not know its value because its fried.Does anyone have the schematics showing the details with values etc? I will attempt to upload a image showing the part in question.

This is a far newer model than we deal with here.I would suggest you contack current Kustom companys service dept as they have always been great in getting me schematics.

Just note that resistors do not burn up for no reason, so you have deeper problems in that amp that replacing just the resistor will likly not fix.

Thanks for the input. As far as I can tell the problem is a result of the wrong value being used for the fuse before the board.I could be referring to the component with the wrong term as well. The fuse failed and one single component burned out as a result. It is a horizontal barrel shaped piece with color bands and i am calling it a resistor,is it a capacitor or other as you see it?I will try and up load an image of the board showing the damaged component and that way there will be no confusion on my behalf.

If the fuse also blew I can tell that the amp probibly has a blown output IC pack.
This will have at least 8 stagered leads on it with a heat sink tab that is bolted down to the chassie.
If you do not replace this 12 dollor output pack you will blow the fuse and burn the resistor again.
You can post a picture if you like, but if that is a resistor that burnt your are still going to need a schematic to detremin its value.

Okay I understand what your saying.I thought a photo would help clarify "my" being unsure I am calling the damaged piece with its proper name.Ill look at making that happen and then I am sure the help you are providing will be exactly what i am seeking .I still require the schematics no matter because i need the value that is clear. Thanks a lot Blair....

hi!, sorry but i have a blowed resistor too :S, the resistor number 14, did you get the schematic? because i tested the amp. and it's only needing the resistor.

i wrote to KUSTOM asking for the value, but they're not anwering :S, mine blowed when i played the 5ft string of my bass, and it's really powerfull, but come on!, maybe the voltage was down or something.

I still need the schematics to get the value of whats blown in mine.It fried and that destroyed the coloured stripe value indicators so i can t identify it other then its location ,and full circle again back to having the schematics would solve the problem

or you can send me a picture of the board!

If you both go to the Kustom Incorperated web site and go to the support heading, under that you will see a contact email heading.
Send them a email requesting a schematic for your amp and they will email it to you in a PDF file like they have done for me numerous times .
They will send you all you need to find out what you are looking for and at.
