I was born in 1951 started playing guitar in 64' grew up with T&R. Started playing bass in 68' first bass amp was "Kustom"...wish I had kept it...but live and learn....54 years old, still playng bass and still using "Kustom"...working three to four nights a week with a "Kustom" 2/15 bottom, that has been converted with 2-15" Celestion's..using a Behringer Ultra-Bass 300 head with a Behringer V-Amp Pod...and every bassist that hears it, makes an offer to buy it...I can do Fat or Funky and any combination in between...with either my Fender P four string or my Fender 5 string P-J....
I realize it's not original "Kustom" but the cab is the whole secret...it was designed to "punch" those "lowdown" freq's thru..I was worried about using the ultra-bass function on the Behringer...which drops the notes 1 octave and utilizes harmonics...but the old cab has hung in there without shaking apart...with all the moving it around and the punishment I put it thru....other cabs would have fallen apart...I want to find me an original "200" bass amp..but they are few and far between.. I also have an original PA 200..and a TR12L just to start...to show you how bad it is I am the only one on stage with a "Kustom" monitor..granted it is the "new" stuff...but when I glance down at it...it does have "Kustom" on it

Yea, the speaker cabinets are built for sure. Just look at all the screws that hold the back on, and the baffel board bolts on to the rest of the cabinet and the casters bolt to a metal sub bracket first. What color is your cabinet? Their are 200 heads on ebay all the time, check it out!

Thanks..I will check it out....You wouldn't believe the deal I got on this Cab,,,a guy I know had taken it and a Yamaha 50 watt bass amp in on a debt that was owed him...He asked me if I needed it...and only gave him $200.00 for he whole setup....the Celestion speakers in the Cab are worth more than I gave total!! but sometimes your just in the right palce..Huh? By the way, the cab is Black..but I want to recover it Blue...but that will come later, when we aren't working quite as much as we are now.
We move from Church to Church and all the wear and tear..loading, setting up, tearing down..the ride in the trailer...this thing just keeps on keeping on...they don't make them like this anymore..No rattle or any foreign noises from the cab...and Celestions are great speakers, but I have to credit the incredible tone, I get from the 5.7 cubes and design of the cab
