Tech wise any Kustom with out effects will have more output than than a effect loaded model. I am not talking so much about wattage out put, although their is a slight difference you can measure but not hear, effects sections need signal to drive them, so they sap gain and tone from what you started with, from after the second or third gain stage you start feeding the effects stages and the sound gets degraded.
