Hello, All!
I just received a Kustom K100 C-6 Combo Amp on long term loan from a friend, and I'm trying to figure out how to get the most out of it. By searching around on this board, I've figured out that it was built sometime in early 1970, which makes it the youngest amp in the house.
Is there anywhere that I can find an Owner's Manual for this beast? What's the difference between the "Low" and "High" inputs on the front panel? What's the purpose for the other two 1/4" jacks on the front panel? There's a male three-pin XLR jack on the back, and a female RCA (maybe) input. What are those for?
I'd really appreciate any help or advice anyone has to offer. I've always admired the look and sound of Kustom equipment, and I'm thrilled to have one in the house to play with.
Thanks for the great Forum -- and I look forward to reading your responses.
Jason

That could be Les. To prove out the effect loop possiblity you would first want to plug a cord into eitheir un-marked jack while playing thru either channel, since the place to patch in a added effects loop would be from the out of one of the preamps to the driver board, if nitheir channel cuts out while trying a cord in both jacks, than they are not for a effects loop. They my be a preamp out from each preamp, in which case the first thing to do would be to get a dc volt meter, set to around a 20 volt scale, than plug a cord into each jack with the meter across the tip and sleve of the other end of the cord.If no voltage is seen then you can remove the meter and plug the cord into another amp and see if you get signal, with out playing you should hear preamp hiss just like what you hear from the kustoms speakers. If the hiss is realy loud than this is too hot of a signal to put in a preamp and should only be used to drive a power amp.
