Strap buttons on my k200 guitar [message #20719]

I've been playing my kustom guitar standing up a lot lately and I'm having issues with how the strap rests on the guitar near the button on the horn. I don't want to drill any holes to move the button so I guess I'll try tying to the headstock I was just seeing if anybody else had this issue and had any suggestions.

I'd install some Dunlop Strap locks. Tying the strap to the neck will create all kinds of tuning problems since the neck is so thin, and I wouldn't want to add any stress to the neck or truss rod.
The strap locks will secure your strap to the guitar and can be quickly removed by pushing the release button.

my issue isn't really with the button it's self, it's where it is located. I have to either put the strap in front or behind the upper horn and it doesn't feel comfortable to me while playing and it causes a lot of rubbing of the strap onto the guitar when i move around.

I understand your dilema. One thing you might do is remove one of the neck bolts, get one 5/16" longer and install the strap button so it is placed more like they do on the Gibson SG guitars.

You could also get some of the protective automotive clear flim plastic that is made to go on the lower parts of cars.
The stuff works great and can be peeled off when needed with no after effect.
