Hi, fellow T&R enthusiasts. I can say that now because I'm the proud owner of a green Krossroad 500 bass rig. (Yeah, I'm the fool who bought that one off eBay recently). The speaker cabs sound awesome, and look beautiful. Of course, though, the head is dead - I'm about 99% certain the power trasistors are toast. I've heard that the 500's had a high failure rate, and I was wondering if any of you have any information on just what was the problem with them (I'd hate to fix it just to have it blow up again). Alternatively, does anyone have any contact information that might lead me to either a service manual/schematics or a repair tech familiar with the Krossroad's and their problems. I can replace the transistors, if that's all that's wrong, but I want to get all the advice I can before I start. I'd also like to hear any information about the company - how long were they in business, what other products did they make, what caused their demise, etc?
