I know that this has probably been discussed here many times, but I cannot find the topic. I have a K200-B5 PA head that I will be using as part of my bass rig. The reverb is VERY touchy (!) and I would like to disconnect it. Is it as simple as unplugging the RCA cables from the circuit boards - or is there a more proper way to do it. I may even remove the reverb tank completely. Any info will be appreciated !

There is the reverb footswitch jack on the lower right side of the amp when looking at it from the back of the amp. I'd just use a right angle 1/4 mono plug and short the tip to ground. It will kill the reverb signal, and you won't have to worry about removing the reverb pan.

As pleat sez, using a foot switch plug to shut off the reverb will be the easiest fix, but you could unplug the tank wires, or replace the tank with a new one that will not be as sensitive to shaking.

As time goes by, due to gravity, the springs get stretched out inside the tank and they become looser. A new tank will stop some of the sensitivity issue.

Removing the tank is ok, but it will be very easy for you to misplace it when you want to put it back to stock condition.

Thanks Pleat and Bill for the advise ! I had the tank out already so that I could clean the head and install a grounded power cord. Will it hurt anything to leave the RCA jacks on the boards empty ?? I am not going to reinstall the tank at this time.

It will not hurt the amp to leave the RCA plugs open, but if you turn up the reverb controls it may cause a little bit of hum.
