I know this isn't a T&R Kustom, and hardly "vintage", but I'd never seen anything like it before, and was intrigued. At first glance, the styling reminded me of the old Fender "Solid State" line.

Yup, they sound good , but blow up a lot just like the failed venture Fender took into early SS that you posted about.
I would only play one for home useage where if it gives up the Goast it does not matter much!
I wouldn't worry about them - I have three (use one to drive subs), gig regularly and never had any major issues with them. And yes they do sound great!
The trick with these amps just like any other that size is to make sure they dont get hot. I think thats where others have issues. I replaced the fans in two of mine when it didnt seem they were moving much air with a better quality one. Not sure if that's luck, just a cheap fan.
