A couple of weeks ago, I purchased one of those new Gibson SG Specials with the "Faded" finish - "Reasonably Priced" (At least in Gibson's opinion). Anyway....up until now, I've been playing it thru my smaller (non-Kustom) amps. This is because I usually play late at night, after the kids have gone to bed. But I couldn't wait for the opportunity to play it thru my Kustom. You see, I only play my "Big Rig" when I can play it the "right way". Today, the wife and kids went out for the afternoon......... I hooked up the SG, a Dan-O Reverb pedal, and a Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal to the 200B-1...... OH.....MY.....GOD!!!!! The sound/tone coming out of that 2x15 cabinet was incredible! The combination of this guitar and that amp is amazing! In addition to the great tone, I believe it actually made me play better. I'm serious. I'm an average, intermediate player. But today, I played for two hours straight. I was playing stuff I didn't even know I could play! I think it even qualified for one of thse "Magical" experiences!
