Hi, I'm looking for information on my Kustom K200B-6 amp. Got a good deal on it w/ a 2x15 cab with original CTS speakers and only had to dig out some hard candy, an earplug, and 22 cents from the bottom of the cabinet. The amp chassis was also peculiarly installed backwards in the black tuck and roll case...
Anyway, I read through lots of old posts and couldn't find much mention of the K200B-6. Is it particularly rare or more valuable than other similar 200 models? The only difference I see from other K200Bs is the "Selectone" knob and the "Pull Bright" function on the treble knob (both functions on the bright channel). What exactly is the deal with the Selectone knob and technically what does it do that the bass/treble knobs can't on their own? Also, the Pull Bright function seems kind of awkward in that the knob is "pulled" out by default and might as well be called the "Push Treble" knob. The Pull Bright also doesn't function like a regular on/off switch-type setting - it goes from 7:00 to 5:00. Was this supposed to be an incremental brightness control, or just a design limitation from sharing the same knob as the treble?
Another question: it seems like I've seen a few Kustom tuck and roll heads that have strap handles on top - there's an example of one on ebay right now at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2514921521. Was this a custom job or did Kustoms actually come with this handle? It seems useful, as my head is relatively light and doesn't really require both arms for me to lift and carry around.
Lastly, I'm planning on following previously posted instructions for installing a grounded plug, but are there any replacements cords that have that nifty cord lock thing that clips onto the cord like these old ones do?
Sorry for the long post!
Jonathan

Hi, and welcome if I might say from all of us k-stom nuts. The nuts reference might only apply to me, everyone else might only be balancing on that fine line.Anyway the selctone knob changes the channels frquence responce to drop out some of the bass, and add more midrange.Think of it as a preset graphic style EQ.The brite swt is a one position waffer switch, so it just goes right or left, for on or off. There was never a tuck & roll head made stock with a handle on top, I have seen them added as you have, and I think they should have been made that way in my opinion, but on the flip side they would be less comfortable to catch some after gig Zs on.
