I'd be interested in hearing an informed opinion about that as well. I have a lot of free schematics on my website, but they're all from companies that are either defunct, or who have explicitly granted me permission to post them. Gibson and Fender were both accomodating, but Yamaha would not permit me to post them for free. Yet there's an eBayer selling photocopies of Yamaha manuals every day, and they do nothing about it - and I've pointed it out to them a couple of times.
