Oddball Kustom Kabinet? [message #3162] Tue, 14 October 2003 21:26 Go to next message

Looking around the local pawn shops as I'm prone to doing, I ran across what looked to be either a 150 or 250 bass head and matching cab. The odd thing is, the cab had ONE 15 in the bottom, but two smaller speakers side-by-side in the upper half, with the two chrome ports separating them. Any ideas on this? I've looked at all the catalogs and can't find anything like it anywhere. T

Hi, If you look in the literature section, under the 100/200/400 area, click on the Kolor Katalog Suppliment and if you click on the black amp section, there are pictures of a 1-15 2-10 cabinet. There were quite a few different cabinets in the later days of the plexi front amps. There aren't a lot of those cabs out there. Actually, there is a black K200 with a selectone switch. That would be the match to that bottom. I am thinking about picking that head up, but it's black and I don't have a cab for it. Conrad

If the top of the cab is not as deep as the 250 head, then the cab is of the 200 plexi era. lots of people traded in their 200s for 250s and kept the 200 style cabs.
