Just got a K50-2. Seller was not sure if the speaker is original. I suspect it is but I dont know how to tell

Its a Jensen C12N C8774 4

Can anyone tell me how to figure out if its original..and/or what year the speaker was made

far as I know that should be the original.. mine had the same with a Jenson Special design sticker on the back.. I don't have it to refer to any more as another player wanted a pair of em bad and traded me for a pair of Celestion vintage 30s that I needed for one of my marshall cabs..I'm swapping the 30s into the marshall and will load the celestion 75s in my kustom 2x12 combo that had the jensons...should be a fun combination...never cared much for the jensons anyway....oh and if you need a replacement..the PV shefield 12 is very close to the jenson..maybe not quite as brittle..but you'd be hard pressed to tell one from the other.

Hi,
Look on the speaker for this kind of number: 220804.
220 is for Jensen
8 means produced in 1968
04 means produced in the 4th week.

The K50-2 was made approx June 1970 to May 1972, so if the speaker was made close to this time range, then it could be original.
