update; one step forward and two steps back right now. I tried cleaning contact points on the jacks and tightening the mounting points for the board. It made the buzz louder again.
I am pretty confident that it is a grounding issue now. I'll have to tear it pretty much all the way down and re-do all the contact and ground points. I'll report later today.
