I got an email today from Ronda Ross Dumovich, addressed to me as a "Contact of Bud Ross". Is that his daughter? Presumably, she's reaching out to people Bud had contacted, seeking their support for this:

Looks interesting. My mom had dementia, and while she never showed a lot of interest in listening to music, she was proficient at piano in her youth, and I had heard that dementia patients often do well playing an instrument, so we got her a piano, and sonofagun, she could play it and still read music! She was pretty slow and rusty, but she could do it. She never really took to it like we had hoped, but it was fun for a while, anyway.
I actually have a video of her playing a Casio synth that my brother wanted to make. I advised him on a cheap synth and what setting to use to get the "proper" sound:

He has a friend who knows Eddie Van Halen, and she showed him this video and he got a kick out of it.
