Hey guys am working on another "deal". Found a 3-15 cabinet on ebay for a modest price but noticed that the speaker ports were screwed in and not clamped from the inside like everything I have ever seen. Was there a point in time when Kustom did put screws in the flange to hold the ports in place? Thanks for the help.

The early ports (1967 ?) were aluminum and were held in by screws. They were replaced by the chrome plated plastic port tubes.

Thanks for the info.....thought maybe this was a bogus Kustom knockoff. Wasn't one of custom's better idea's. I think it cheapens the look of the cabinet, kind of like when they went from aluminum to plastic. Another great idea......NOT!
