Hello again Kustom experts. I picked up my "new" K150-6 Cascade bass amp and it is sweet looking and sounds great, probably a 9.5 out of 10. However, I am changing the line cord to a 3 wire as someone cobbled a plug on the original cord and, after reading about power cords here, decided to add the grounded plug. I would like a set of schematics for this, if possible, as there is a small breaker mounted on the back for whatever reason and once I get it apart, I want to see what it's wired into and maybe why it was put there in the first place. If anyone has a set of schematics that could be emailed, I'd sure appreciate it. Based on the serial number, it is an early 1971 model from what I can tell. Thanks!
Hey Steve,
I think you are referring to the metal face K150 amp.
The K150-6 is the plexi faceplate - it does not have a metal top cover for the amp chassis.

Yup, your right Less. I did not have my Kustom hat screwed on right for that question!
What is the k150-6, just a different speakered version of the k150-8 that has 4-10" drivers?

This one has the Altec Lansing 15" in it......
UPDATE-The chrome dome I see from the outside is actually a Utah speaker, so whatever was stock had been replaced. It sounds tight and no buzz or rattles and still has that vintage bass thump I was looking for. I never heard of Utah speakers before, but I guess Fender had used them for awhile from what I found online.....

That amp would have been made with the Altec 421 driver which would have made it twice as loud ar any givin volume level than the Utah driver, but not to fret, the Utah driver has great tone also for its price range.
Is this a two channel amp?
What is the PC board numbers on the trace side of the amps channel(s)?
This amp should have 2 transformers in it?
Fill in these blanks for me and I think I atleast have a power supply and output/driver schematic for you.
After noon today I will be unable to reply to this site untill Monday morning.

Yes, this amp has 2 transformers and is 2 channel, each with a high and low, but after changing the power cord to a 3 wire last night, it's back together and I don't plan on pulling it apart again unless I have to (hopefully not soon, anyway). The inside of the amp and cab are clean as can be and the small breaker appears to have been installed in place of the internal fuse as the black wire from the cord is soldered directly to it. The 2 larger caps look to have been replaced at one time as they are newer looking than anything else in the box. Seeing as it's plenty loud with the Utah for now, I'll keep my eyes peeled for a JBL driver in the future...right time, right place. Thanks,
