like best, that was put into the Kustom cabs?
Lets just get some different opinions from all of you Krazy Kustom Kids out there (young and old alike), and list in order your favorite to least favorite (if you have a least favorite) speaker. You can even put a comment as to why next to each choice if you want to. Everyones opinion is important and will be respected as such.

Depends on what cab you have, and what style music you play. In my K100 2x12 cabs I have older, cloth dust covered Jensens, which are absolutely great for guitar but lack punch for bass, I have Jensens with the aluminum dust cover, not as good as the older ones, but slightly better for bass. I also have CTS in another 2x12. Great for bass for small powered rooms but also good for blues or jazz guitar. Very smooth and warm. Now the K100 1x15 is a CTS, I won't even use it, not good at all. Way too muddy and lacks character. I might put in an JBL E130. I might try JBL D or E120's for the 12's and definitely E130's for low to midrange guitar work in a 15" speaker. For bass, again depends. If I like punch and high frequency slap bass, I'd go with E130's. For low frequency bass type bass, I'm not talking lead bass players if you know what I mean, I would use E140's with an external power amp. 2 E140's can handle 800 watts without even groaning. And finally, my PA cabinets have E140's in 2 3x15 siren cabs and 4 E120's in 2 columns. I hit the E140's with 1700 watts and the E120's with 1100 watts. Really sounds great. The vocals are as clean as any if not better than the pros. I don't use 18's at all. Most PA guys want you to feel the bass but they sacrifice clarity for thump. I can run the vocals in the mids 3 to 6 DB higher than the entire instrument sections. Really brings the vocals to the front. Lead singers love it. I guess my overbearing love for JBL is apparent, but they don't fail me. I once toasted 2 E140's in a PA cab when I pushed 1100 watts through a pair with almost a pure sine wave. It was part of a Halloween music score with this underlying drone tone. The voice coils melted off the cores. I have to make sure that my amps are matched to the music I'm running.

KUSTOMG,what size driver(s) are you looking to replace? There are alot of great speakers out there, even for a under 100 bucks if they only have to handle a bit more wattage than a K200 or K250 puts out.
If you are playing 6 string guitar a easy thing to do is to find a music store the has a good amount of 60s fender amps, and play them you will probibly find them loaded with jensen or oxfords if the amp had 12 inchers, or as with a super reverb with 4-10s, it could have jensens, cts, or the had to find utah`s.
A great replacement these days for the much kustom used Jensen c12n model is the new eminece model screaming eagle.
Sometimes its fast to find out what you do not like the sound of then the drivers you do like the sound of.
There are many new drivers out today that overall sound very close to each other, and could fit the bill!

Hi Steven,
Actually, I'm not looking to replace anything. My only experience with Kustom amps & cabinets has been through a couple of buddies of mine who had K200-B2 amps and cabinets with CTS speakers in them. I am TRYING to put together a Kustom amp. I have an A-1 head and also a A-4 head and I am looking for a cabinet (thats the REALLY hard part! ). I think the CTS speakers sound fine, but I don't know what the other speakers that came in the Kustom cab's sound like such as JBL's, Altec Lansing, Jensens, KEI etc.
So, if I actually ever come up with a T&R cab in really great shape (thats the REALLY hard part) and the speakers are either blown or were replaced with some real cheap speakers,I would like to know what ones are good or not so good.
I play guitar, and am trying to teach myself how to play bass (old R&R and Blues)
I do appreciate both you and C4ster's replies!!

So the cabinet you are looking for would have to work for both guitar and bass?

Steven-
No. Actually, I would be playing guitar through it, now that I have an A-4 head.
I suppose somewhere WAY down the line some day, some year, after I get a guitar cab, I would maybe look into getting a cab for the bass since I also have the A-1 head. I believe the CTS speakers are suppose to be good for bass, aren't they??
But for right now, I am desperately looking for a 2x15 Kustom black tuck and roll cab in 9-10 condition for my A-4
Thanks!
