Hey,

I just picked up a cascade K100 head and bottom, and I'm wondering about when they were born. The head is a K100-2, s/n 25663. The bottom seems like an earlier one, since it has a straight front (no slant), a plate on the back with model 2-12B and the s/n 42572, and the kustom name plate on the front has a ribbed background, not a pebbled one like my other bottoms. I seems these two did not start out together. Any opinions?

Thanks,
John

Hello. The cabinet you have is from a later 150 series amp. The earlier cabs were slant front with the "pebbled" logo while the later ones were the straight front with the ribbed logo. Based on a chart i've seen, your head is probably from the first half of 1968. I think your cabinet is from around 1972 if I am not mistaken, too. Do a search for "serial number chart" in this forum and you'll find it. Good luck and nice amp!

Thanks!

As I suspected. I did find and copy the serial number chart (thanks Les!).
