Here's a picture of Charlie Daniels performing for an Ariens company function. Notice the bass player's K200 shining in the back!

I'm very familiar with the amp, since that's me behind the Gibson bass. My band, Homemade Brew, had the great pleasure of playing backup for Charlie. What a friendly and unassuming guy! We played for about a half an hour, everything from "Long Haired Country Boy" to "Orange Blossom Special". I know it's not exactly an official sighting, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Looks "official" to me - nice rig!

Is that an EB-2, or something newer (I know virtually nothing about guitars that came out after 1975)

It's an EB-2D, probably around a 1968 or so. Gibson's serial numbers make dating it a bit of a challenge. I bought it in high school in 1978. And nothing sounds better than matching it with the same vintage Kustom loaded with JBL 140's. Heaven!

John:
Kudos on the rig and the gig!

I dunno, but Charlie just doesn't look right in that baseball cap. Next time, maybe they could have the Ariens logo embroidered on a Stetson!
