Possibly some one has the schematic for a K100C-8....if you do, please email it to me. If there are any tech notes available for that model as well, it would be greatly appreciated as well.

I had one come in and thought I had a line on a schematic for this, but what got sent wasn't what I needed.

Thanks!

Neal

Hi, you can not just get a complete schematic for that amp,its broken up into three layouts, each preamp and the driver/ output/power amp stage. What is the problem you have with the amp?

The left side is down. It had a loud hum until I replaced the large filter caps, so now it's just the left side that's out. In doing the initial circuit test, it looks like the first transistor is blown since no signal goes past it. I need to verify that transistor and see what the circuit looks like downstream.

Does this board have a PC1400 on the face of it.
If its the first transistor that test bad just replace it, its a very common type(2n2906 small signal NPN type.
If you do not have one get to Radio shack and you can pick up a pack of 4 or 5 small signal NPN audio types for under five dollars.

PS, both preamps in that amp use many of these transistors, and the new one produce far less hiss/noise.

I'll check the board and verify. The transistor that's in there in the first and second position is an HEP-S0015. Do you have the schematics?

The heps0015 crosses over to a NTE brand nte123A which is a small signal NPN type

If you have the 1400, can you send it over, I can trace through the circuit and find the differences. I started on testing points in the circuit and found no dc voltage at the base of the first transistor....unfortunately, the bias resistor value that's printed on the case of the resistor is unreadable, but reads a value...I'd like to verify that bias resistor.

I now have the 1400 (normal channel) schematic. Does anyone have the 1500 (trem/verb channel) schematic?
