HI All,

been a kustom user since 1971 and a I have some k250-4 heads, never had, seen a new one. My question is should you get a volume boost when enabling the Fuzz. On my heads, the volume goes down.

thanks in advance....

My Fuzz question needs to be further defined. The K-4's have two controls for the FUZZ, Effect and Level. Effect I think is the amount of fuzz mixed into the signal, The Level I am not sure of. Most fuzz or distortion boxes once you get past 50% or so, you hear a perceived and sometimes real boost in volume. How is this one supposed to work, typically on mine, the Level needs to be at 100% and I get a volume drop from when the fuzz is disabled. Is this the way it works or should there be a volume increase past some point. If that's the way it works no volume increase has anybody in the group modified the circuit to perform a volume boost?
