I emailed a lady near my house and she never replied. So, I drove to NH and bought a beautiful cab. The next day, she called. Figurss. So, I'm going to keep the nice, black, crisp cabinet and unload the blue one if I can. It's got the 2x15s loaded in it. Drop me a line if you wanna see =)

just saw the ad for the blue sparkle 2-15..... any pix available. I would have you ship Via ForwardAir on a pallette. I got my 1-18 cab for 65 from albany NY Terminal to terminal. Is it an 8 or 4 ohm cab??? Let me know what you need out of it...maybe we can deal... Cool

Shaun... Let me know re the 2-15 cab... I think the 200 series 2-15 are 8 ohms which is fine with me. I have a blue 150 pa head to use with it.

As far as ohms goes... You'd have to tell me what to look for... I do need a black Kustom 200 head, w/ 4 channels, but that's a long shot...

If you have a multitester measure dc resistance in ohms... for an 8 ohm cab it should be 5.5 to 7 ohms.....half that if a 4 ohm cab... 200 series were 8 ohms for the most part and the 250 series were 4 ohm cabs. 200 series I beleive were tapered cabs and 250 series were straight sided and a bit larger and resulting in better bass response. Let me know what you want for the blue cab and what you want to trade for. I have a 300 series black pa head but I want to keep it.

Hey... picking up a dc tester now... you'll have to tell me where to place the ends... I'm going to guess on the leads on the speakers, correct? I'm an english major, not an electrician... not sure if 'doc' mccoy said that on star trek but he should have, lol...

I would just connect a speaker cable to it.. short is better and
measure the whole shebang at once which will give cabinet impedance... be sure to zero the meter 1st. Send me the result.Let me know what you are looking for in trade desires....or...... a cash price. Send some pix of the cab directly to my email at kustomoholic@aol.com and or send me your phone and I'll call you..Thanx

Hey, sorry about the delay... been up here at my dad's house cleaning stuff out. I will be taking care of the Kustom tomorrow afternoon. I'd like 200 (plus shipping) for it, but I don't want to feel like I am gouging another collector. Then again, that money gets 'tucked' (tee hee) away for a nice Kustom pa. Let me know if that's too much!

Howdy. This is def. a 200 cab just by looking at it. The 250 black one I have weighs a ton and the blue one is thinner and looks a bit narrower at the top. I never really got the hang of electrical impedence and all the rest so my friend looked at it and got a reading at about 6 and a half ohms on his old tester.

What do you have to trade? Like I said, I'd love cash only because it'd go to a nice 200 pa head but if you have a 4000 or something close, I'm sure we could deal =)

Hey, just jumping in here on the impedance issue. The 2x15 cabinets that are tapered towards the top when viewed from the sides are the K200 series and used two 16 ohms speakers wired in parallel for a 8 ohm total load to the K200A or B series amp. Both the K200A and B series amps produce 100 watts RMS at a 4 ohm load, which is why you can run either one or two of the 2x15 cabinets with one K200 head.
The K250 series 2x15 cabinet is straight when viewed from the side and has silver threads running through the grill cloth. The speakers used in that cabinet were 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel for a 4 ohm total load to the K250 head. In the K250 series the amp would drive one cabinet and when adding a second cabinet the second cabinet had it's own power amp mounted in the back doubling the output power. Kustom did this so if you needed more speaker coverage the sky was the limit. Every time you added a cabinet it automatically added more power.

Hey... B4 I spend some green I would like some photos of the cab. Send to Kustomoholic@aol.com. Did you check out ForwardAir.com for a shipping location near you? If they still have the same rates it was 50bucks up to 150 lbs terminal to terminal and they have one in Tulsa,OK.

I wouldn't sell it to you without sending some pics =). You don't have anything to trade? I have the charcoal head that went with this amp. You know, I love the sound of these things and the fact that they are not just a box makes them even more impressive. Do you have a charcoal cab? We'd do an even trade on that =)

Shaun - will take pics this afternoon...

Hey Shaun...Don't have a charcoal cab... All of my Kustoms are late metalface Amps and save for the blue sparkle pa set I have
all are plain old black. I have a monster 1-18 250 series bass set. It was originally a 500 series set with the extra powered
module. The guy I bought that set from kept the almost unused module set. Looking forward to the cab pix.. If I hear of a charcoal cab I'll let you know..

Howdy, check your inbox =) Pics are there. If you're not interested, let me know, no hard feelings. (There's a blue sparkle head on long island that I'm eyeing and a 4000 head that needs some work)
