Just seeing what the level of interest in doing a group buy on replacement handles. I need a bunch of them and got the bright idea to have some fabricated. I found a company in Florida that says they can do it. They're supposed to get back to me in a few days with a bid. I was thinking something in the 50-100 piece range. It would be kinda nice to have a supplier of these things!

If they can do a even just a 100 item production run that would be super, but I will not get my hopes up too high, as I have a friend who makes copys of 50`s gibson amps, and that era Gibsons use basicly the same type of handle but for the grab being brown, and not black.
The company he found told him the minimum production run would be 10,000, and he could not afford it, so lets just keep our fingers crossed once again!

I would think that most Kustom owners would be interested in at least a couple handles. I know I would. And of course, depending on price, maybe even more. Let us know. Cool

I was one of the purchasers in the last big handle buy a few years ago and I would be interested again. I would take at least 20, more if the price is right. Those of you that go way back probably remember I had a run of the 4FB2A1A reverb tanks done for us about 7 years ago or so and distributed to the other fanatics out there.

hey dudes! Im glad i found this site! it'll be good for me as im a die hard Kustom fan and always have been,, which is why my music store (www.Monumentmusic.com) fell head over heals to be a Kustom dealer, which i hope i can be good for you all. but that being said,, the handles on the new 72` coupe or hard top, and the 36`coupe do in fact use the same handles as the old,, the ONLY difference with the new ones, is that they use screws instead of shoddy rivets that pop out (which is prolly whats wrong with all the handles that are failed out there) and that is literally THE only difference, Now,, the new Kustom is owned by Hanser, and they are a very friendly company, and Kustom is GREAT with warranty repairs or parts,, contact them for the handles,, you can buy one or twenty,, and even tho there not exact because the screws,, they are still made by Kustom, so they`d be that much more original then the after market production that are being asked about. if you cant reach the right folks on your own,,as im not sure the warranty/parts dept is consumer friendly or if you have to be a dealer. drop an email through my website,, my name is Matt, and ill gladly see what i can do!

That sounds like a great idea. I tried contacting Kustom to see about handles and knobs, and they said no. Your idea sounds pretty good. As I recall though, the new handles were a pinch wider.

Ya, i found that they wont sell to the general public, hmmm? anyways,, i did talk to Kustom, and drum roll,,,,,,,,,, i got some on the way!!!! and best part,,,,,there cheap!!!! $14.99. not sure how i`m going to make them available, as i can only get so many at a time and want to be fair, but also want everyone whom needs one to be able to get them. ill keep y'all posted on how and wen ill have them available,, most likely my website. now to the size difference,, Ive got go to my store tonight to grab some stuff, and ill take the handle off of my 72 Hardtop, and match it up to my buddies, `67 2-15 cab. to check the size,, but honestly, i did eye the two up relatively closely and really saw no difference, other than the screw improvement.if they are different its minuscule, and im sure i can correct that with unnoticeable, professional results. thanks guys.
