The bassist in my band plays a Kustom 200. Near as I can tell it must be a 60's model. She has the matching 2x15. How do I find out what model it is? There is little to no writing on the backplate and only the controls are labelled on the front.
Also what was the impedance of these heads? Its acting a bit funny and before I open it all up, I'd like to try a different cabinet just to make sure I'm chasing the right problem.
Welcome to the board.
Most K200 amps will have a small metal plate riveted to the back panel with a model number. Because the serial number is also on this plate, sometimes they get defaced or removed.
The original K200's will have a wider top front panel, so they are often referred to as "Frankenstein" heads. The controls will be arranged in a triangular pattern and the fuses will be on the right side of the front panel.
The next series were the K200A, which sometimes have a set of circuit breakers located along side the power switch in the front center panel. The A-series heads will also have large brass chassis standoffs, that elevate the chassis up from the bottom of the case.
The final series was the K200B, which were made for the longest time. These will look like the earlier A-series, but no longer have the brass chassis standoffs.
Check out the literature section of the site and see if you can match the head to any of the photos.
The A and B series heads had a model number that was used to describe the features of the particluar amp head. Model 1 had a normal and a bright channel. Model 2 had a normal and a reverb tremolo/vibrato channel, and so on.
As for the impedence question, most heads were designed to run a 4 ohm load.

Hello and welcome.
If you can provide us with the info that will be on the speaker cabinet jack plate.
It will say CTS, JENSEN, ALTEC or JBL on the plastic plate, and also does the speaker slim down from bottom to top when viewed from the side?
