Nashville Kustom Reunion - Last Call [message #117] Fri, 08 September 2000 11:17 Go to next message

Hi guys...need to get this one put to bed either way ...The date is Sat December 9th at the Nashville Guitar show. If me miss this one it'll be next spring sometime and I understand the holiday schedule may make this one tough. In fairness to Bud Ross who will be coming at airplane expense, I would recommend a minimum of 20 committed souls. And I guess the rigt way to committ is to put a buck to it... I need to go back and visit with the show holder, Jim Reynolds on his charge options for booth, room , etc...and then breack that out by the min head count to see what it'll take to cough up a committment. but before I spend any more time chasing this bus, please step up and let me know if we have the interest...this is core team stuff..once we have the members, then I can go to VG forums, etc and advertise the event..love ya'll no matter what we do or don't ..it's meant a lot to have fellow kollectors.....play loud...ET!

I'm in, and think this would be the best time. Think about it, a chance to meet Bud Ross in person, now he is the ultimate historian. I'm looking forward to seeing Bud and to finally meet all of you. Don

spoke w/Jim Reynolds..the show holder...he has priced us $300 per 10ft table space and we can have several if we want...he thought this might be the best way to do it without pissing off his other dealers who might accuse us of swapping selling etc..this way we can sell and swap if we want...so depending on how many of us confirm then we can break out the cost...was thinking maybe reserve either 2 ($600) or 3 ($900) spaces and divide those in half so anyone wanting to bring gear would have to put up $150 in advance...I really do not want to play treasurer on this one so any volunteers appreciated...I will also cover the cost of securing a couple Uniroyal naughy kats as door prizes for farthest traveled/oldest rig there whatever...and if we are doing these tables I will bring a couple kool rigs that you guys just might want to take home...and since I know how price savy you all are...I will expect to let them go cheap...how's that for a tempt...looks like we have a good core...VG mag will help let others know...and I will call on the local dealers up there to make them aware and see if they will help spread the word...I think we will have a nice turn out and it'll be worth the effort...I am out til mid week next week..but will check back inwith you all to see how you think we should handle the money...Play Loud!....ET!

It sounds good to me! Iguess a space is 10 feet wide and as deep as the building will allow. We should make it on two spaces...three max.....unless there are others that I do not know about. I will mention that this is a small show compared to the giant show in Nashville in March...but I think it will be a very good place to start out. .....and with help from VG and all of the people we can contact we should have a great time. Then we can make plans to do this again. I do not want to pass up the chance to meet Bud Ross! We should easily dominate the show! BC!

GUESS WHO ?!?!? Not only am I in too, I've already reserved a flight. Like Brad sez, I don't want to miss the opportunity to meet Bud. Now I won't be able to bring any equipment but I do have a nice large kustom made Kustom Banner that I can bring and we can hang it over the spaces. All I need now is what hotel to stay at and can I bum a ride to and from airport, hotel and show ??? I'll be flying in Friday the 8th and flying out Sunday the 10th. Looking forward to meeting all the kustom fanatics there. . . .
