O.K, now that I have scored a 2x12 K100 cabinet, I'm curious as to what years the K100 Kustom amp was made. Mine has CTS speakers in them that were made the 46th week of 1967. But, the metal tag on the lower right hand corner on the back of the cabinet says that the cab came with Jensen speakers. Could it be possible that someone at the factory may have made a mistake and put the wrong tag on the cab?? The inside of the cab looks completely undisturbed. Or maybe the original owner took out the Jensens for some reason and put in CTS speakers. It is a silver sparkle cab with a little bit of gig rash on it. Thanks for any info that anyone has!!

Well, their would have been in all liklyhood no mistake at the kustom factory as far as installing CTS drivers in a Jensen taged cabinet, plus seeing as the original C12N Jensen drivers are now going for 200 plus! dollars I think with out question those CTS drivers where swapped in.
The correct model CTS bass driver will have square, not round magnets and the speaker frame and magnet will be black. If the magnet is round and the driver is unpainted silver than it may be a driver from 1977 not 67.
does your cab have plastic port tubes or real aluminum tubes? The plastic ones are blackish on the inside, late K100 cabs have the plastic tubes.
Hey Steven
The ports on the cabinet are aluminum for sure. The speakers have the numbers 137 746 on both of them. The magnets are round and black, the frames are black. I'm sorry that I don't have the speaker moxie yet, so I don't know what I would be looking at to answer your question about the drivers, but, there is nothing there that is unpainted silver.
So, what do you think??
