Hello. My name is Jim and I just joined. So I thought I'd introduce myself. I've been playing guitar since age of 16, and that's many years ago. Early on, my main musical interest was broadly speaking, folk music; I guess what would now be called Americana, or sometimes roots music. Lately, however I've discovered the joys of playing electric guitar, and about a year ago bought a very nice, high end electric. I've also been interested in song writing for many years and attempt to write at least one new song per month for a local song writers' groups I began about a year and a half ago.

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I have an old, apparently mid-'60s Frankenstein head and a 2X12" horizontal cab, both with the old black vinyl tuck'n'roll. I also have a Rickenbacker 360/12 string guitar which I enjoy playing in stereo using both the Kustom and a Music Man RD 110-Fifty. I can really get my Byrds jangle and chime on that way.

Very Kool early Ross head and Cabinet - Horizontal cabs are all good. But just one suggestion....Simple Green....Clean that bad boy up will ya!? Leaving that old guy like that is a sin on this forum.

JimK, one thing I think everyone would suggest other that cleaning, is to change out the power cord to a new 3 prong grounded AC Cord. Using your Ric in stereo with another amp you could have a grounding or shock issue. Just re wire white to white, black to black and the green ground wire connects to the chassis.
pleat.

Pleat, already taken care of. The Tech. made the same suggestion when it was in for rehab last fall. Thanks for thinking of that. Much appreciated.
