Hi Steve,
I'm really happy with the sound this head has. Actually just tickled with the sound, seems a little different then the later heads I've heard, maybe a touch grittier?
I'll have to pull the back off to see the speakers soon.
This head is a C-495 would you think it has CTS speakers?
One of volume pots is a little scratchy but overall-WOW!
Is there a schematic available, just to have around here?
Thanks much for any and all info.
Dan
p.s. Need one of the stove top knobs too- I would think that
will be tought to find, maybe I should just look for something kind of close.

When you open the head up to clean the pots take a look at all the tubular coupling caps( most times white colored) and make sure that none are leaking any rubber cement looking stuff out eitheir end, or look swollen and ready to pop and leak
.
Also on the rear wall mounted circuit board there is a black paper cased cap (500mfd at 50 volts) that should get replaced regardless of how it looks, and if the amp has reverb there is the same cap value on that board also.
Antique electronics,Mojotone or fliptops caryys the Ampeg style control knob you need.
