Hi Kats,
What is the "tube" that is wired after the speakers and before the jack in my cab with 15" CTS speakers (65-66)? Is it to stop "motorboating sounds"?

Frankie question, are the input jacks a Hi/Lo
or is one a Bright input and if so which one is Hi/Lo
or bright (inner-outer)? This is on a '65 head, are both the channels the same thing (the 2 input jacks on either side of the jewel light)? Hope this question makes sense!
Thank you for any and all answers.

CB thanks for the speaker ID previously.

Slowly rockin' on,
Yd

From the pictures that I've seen of the inside of some cabinets, the part is a wirewound resistor or a choke/inductor. They are not in all cabs, only the ones that needed them.

Are there any markings on it?

As for the input question, the no effects head and the reverb/vibrato heads both have high & low input jacks. The difference is that there is a capacitor wired in series with the high jack that reduces the amount of bass for that input.

The PA or reverb only heads do not have this feature, so all of the inputs are the same as a low input on the other heads.
