Kustom 150 Combo bass amp [message #13686] Tue, 18 May 2010 18:45   WesternSkies213 Messages: 12 Registered: May 2010 Location: CT Junior Member Hello Everyone, I have been looking for Bright Switch Tone Knobs for my Kustom 150 combo bass amp for a few years now. Not sure about the year but its an early to mid 70's tuck and roll. I recently ordered 2 black fluted silver center large dot index knobs from Small Berr Electronics and they don't fit either. I thought these would be the correct ones before I purchased them. Does anyone know where I can purchase the correct knobs? The serach continues. Thanks, Craig Report message to a moderator

If it is a physical fit problem, the thing to try is to remove the knob from the volume control, does it fit the bright switch? Can you post a photo? Report message to a moderator

I believe the bright switch knob is a sort of set screw knob. The bright knob turns the bright switch on and off with a turn and a click. The knobs that I bought for the bright switches only go in half way so they can't turn the switch. However both knobs are the same size. Report message to a moderator

I'm starting to think that the bright switches may have been replaced at some time with non factory switch that may be a straigt round shaft. Photo's of the shaft and maybe a photo of the inside of the amp would explain a lot of why the other original knobs won't fit. The diameter of the shafts may be a metric and just a little to large in diameter to fit a standard knobs. pleat Report message to a moderator

The SS series were the slant metal face challenger, hustler, commander, sidewinder and the Charger was the bas model.
