In Chanute last month I acquired JC's infamous "Midnight" which is a Charger amp cabinet with no amp and a Carvin 4 ohm 15" in it. I have been using it with 200 series heads which sounds great as the 200 likes 4 ohms. BUT, what if I find a Charger amp section to put in this? Will the Charger tolerate the 4 ohms? BC Cool

The original speaker was an 8 ohm.

I would think that the original head would tolerate the 4 ohm load, and would be a little louder as well.

Maybe one of the others here has a better answer.

Thanks Bill....I like the way you think. Pleat has suggested the PC boards are common to other amps and has the same ideas. My feeling is if it gets hot....it just gets hot. Actually, I do not have a Charger head yet...but someday! Cool
