I'm currently trying to repair a k200b-2 head, When turning on the reverb or any switch for that matter it pops really loudly while pluged into the cab. The second thing is mass amounts of feedback coming through. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. If anyone has an idea please i'm open to suggestion. please HELP!!!

Welcome to the place lewdog.

The popping or scratching noise is usually a sign of dirty or oxidized pots. If you are handy you can open up the head and clean them with a can of DeOxit spray. I think that you can still get DeOxit at Radio Shack stores.

As for the feedback, do you mean feedback from your guitar or does the amp feedback all by itself?

thanx i'll try your suggestion and it's feedback from the amp by itself.

If it is truly feedback, the only reason would be the reverb tank picking up the sound from the speaker cabinet. If you move the head around, away from the speakers will it stop?

Then I'd guess that it's not feedback, but an oscillation in the circuitry. I'd start by cleaning the pots and see if that helps.

i tryed cleaning the pots with no change. i also found a jack in the circuit board that someone tried to solder back together and failed. so i'll replace it and see if that helps.
