Thanks for all the advice. I ended up buying the k100 and maching cab and really enjoy having it.
I have a simple question. What other heads can I use with the Kustom Cab. It has the Jensen speakers. How many Ohms is the cab? Even though I have played guitar for years, I have never been much of a gear head...so things like Ohms dont come easy for me.
I would like to buy some other heads, like an Egnater Rebel for example but wasnt sure what I needed to watch out for.

Welcome, and to answer your question of what ohms the cabinet is.
If the speakers are original, the cabinet is 8 ohms.
You may want to remove the back of the cabinet and double check to see what brand of speakers are actually in the cabinet. After 40+ years, it's hard to say what might be in the cabinet for brand brand of speaker and impedance.

The way that I do it requires a trip to your local vacuum cleaner repair store. Buy a grounded cord for a Bissel steam carpet cleaner. The cord is as long or longer than the original Kustom cords. It even has the cord clip like the original. An 18 gauge cord is sufficient. Clip off the white and black wire at the switch leaving enough to see the colors. You will remove these later. Clip off the Orange Drop capacitor. Replace the cord in the original strain relief with the new cord and check for length. Too much, it won't fit and make sure the plug end ends up somewhere in the middle of the wrapped cord for storage. You don't want to have the plug end up at the cord wraps. Then connect the black where the black was and the white where the white was. Sorry for sounding like I'm making fun here. And connect the green ground to the screw where the Orange Drop was connected. If there isn't a screw then just find any screw that is fastened to the chassis. Use a ring terminal to terminate the green wire to. That's it.
