Well folks....the end of May is approaching and unless you have not let me in on it,(that is what happens at home ) we have no plans for a Kustom get together this year. I am READY.....JC will make it....Jimm has asked about it.....Roy will be there if he is not planting or picking...crops that is!Pleat is probably loading now. This group has grown and we have all learned a little more than we knew last year.....we met some great new friends in Indy and there are more we want to meet! Let's have some ideas........BC

How about Michigan guys?????? November... ????? RandyK and I'd probably be able to make it this year, providing I don't schedule another surgery for that time... And I know Pleat would be there, and Tom, and Dave Stevens--all from Michigan. Just thinking .......
Well, I think BC has been spying on me. I already have half my kustoms back in the garage, the van backed up'd and a full tank of gas. I'm working with my new full time band and work with three other part time bands, so timing is the only issue with me. Michigan is great with me, but it might be a long drive for some. There are a lot of new members on the site and I would encourage them all to make the effort to attend the 3rd. Kustom Konvention. We should see what Buds schedule might be and see if he could attend. Anyone feel like stepping up and taking charge? ET and JC have both done a great job in the past, and could offer some insite on getting it rolling. Don

last year was such a miss for me that I will do my best to never let it happen again.. I"ve got to encourage all our folks to attend..just too cool a time. I'd love to bring all my toys to the show...but if an airplane ride is needed...that's ok as well...although as much fun as the airports are these days I think I'd just as soon drive....anywhere!! specially since I've got a couple new things to show off! There are several of us boys down here in the South so a joint effort on a road trip could be in the making... I'd still love to see the Phlly guitar show...is that close to Michigan?... I slept through Geology class (nobody gets me..yes I know..Geography)
I'm in. Michigan, Philly...makes no difference if you're coming from the West. But it would have to be prior to Thanksgiving. I really enjoyed Indy, as it was part of a larger guitar show. If it could be arranged again around another show, it'd get my vote. Is there a site out there that lists upcoming guitar shows?

Thanks for the link, Deb. OK...so if anyone is interested in going this route, here are the upcoming shows. I am not including anything before July, and, for the most part, only the ones in "the East".
July 13-14, Columbia SC
Aug 3-4, Nashville TN
Aug 10-11, Hard Rock Hotel, Las Vegas (OK, this isn't really "the East", and it would be hard to lug gear there, but the possibilities are intriguing)(Also, I travel on business to Vegas, so I could help with arrangements).
Aug 24-25, Charlotte NC
Sept 8, Cincinatti OH
Sept 28-29, St Louis MO
Nov 23-24, Philadelphia PA
So, if a show is in the works, these are the choices. However, last year we talked about just getting together as a group...without a show...so that is a possibility as well.
Anyway, it's time to chime in on this if we're gonna get something going this year.

wow..a show in Charlotte Nc...imagine that....no... I won't even think about it...never mind that there are a solid handful of kustom boys out this way...but the dates are just wrong...or maybe not..see here's the deal...this August 20th I will have been married for 25 years...to the same gal...hey..she says my kustoms are pretty..that'll do to keep her around...anyway..Aug 17th is a renewal of vows service and a big ol ho down afterwards...likely last the whole weekend and then Deb and I are off for a week to some place exotic so that is the only time that I've got set aside...ya'll (that's southern) could either just come down here and help me say " I do" again, or maybe pick another guitar show...ya know Nashville was a good deal all around.. I think I can say that since its a solid 8 plus hours drive for me as well..not like its in my backyard..and we do have some options in town that Andy and Bud has said they would like to help with this time around...I really do have a guilty on for our West Coast guys so I'm cool if I need to fly this time...guess we just need to get a champion to step up and make this happen..rise up ye warriors of the tuck n roll table... I"ll badger Bud and Andy (particularly excited about it this time round) and I hope he could get Momma Ross to come..then ya'll hear some tales....oh yeah...

For what's its worth, the Cincy show usually sucks....Nashville is usually a good deal...(I got someplace to stay there!)...I've never been to Philly but always wanted to go...:)
