I just got another piece for my collection. I'm going to pair it with the 3X15 Cascade Frank Cabinet I have. I couldn't pass it up for $100. I'd like to know the year it was made if anyone could date this for me. The model J-595 has a serial #5271 as pictured below is in Black.

The pots have date stamping on their side, like 137749.
The fourth number would mean 1967 and 49 would be the 49th week of that year.
The power transformer also has a date code on it, it should be the same 6 number format but the first three numbers may be
138
238
606
830
Also the two main Mallory filter caps have dates on them.
The Mallory code is 235.
Great!! Thanks!!! I have'nt had the chassis out yet, but I have to take the faceplate off to change out the rusted control nuts "We certainly cant have rust showing up in front and mucking up the kool Karma of the amp, don't ya know". No I'm not from Wis-con-sin or Min-a-so-ta!!!! I think the amp my be though from the looks of the rust. Its in Texas now ya'll, and I'm a gonna giveheralooksee and date the thing. Thanks again for the advice stevem. Steve C

Very nice Steve! I have one just like it with th3e cab too. I love the Frankie's I want a 3 x 15 cab to go with one though....lol! I suppose everyone does...lol!
The Cascade cab I have has 3 eminence 8 ohm. Kinda put the ohms a little low but it seems like the amp is handling it fine. I wouldn't play a 4 hour show or nothing like that though. I need one more 16 ohm CTS and I'm going to put the originals back in.
