I can call myself the proud owner of a genuine 1974 Kasino Club L-2. The L stands for Lead and the 2 for 2x 12" CTS loudspeakers (silver dust cap)I suppose. The second owner (I got it from him) replaced the big filtercaps and the amp is running just fine. Optical it is in a perfect condition. According to me this amp is about the same as the mid seventies vinyl Kustom Lead II amp. At first glance I only see some difference in how the reverb pan is connected to the amp, and obvious, there is only one input per channel. The CTS speaker say 8 - 16 Ohms. A test from the speaker jack says 5.9 Ohm. It's a 4 Ohm amp, just as the Kustom Lead II. Does anyone know the circuit numbers I should refer to?

Congrats on the Kasino. There are some differences between the Kustom llL and the Kasino Club Lead amp. The Kustom Lead ll uses the same power amp and control panel, but was only offered in a 2x12 speaker configuration. The kustom lit states it's 60 watts RMS @ 1%THD.
The Kasino Club Lead amp states 100 watts peak peak power, and was only offered as a 4x10" speaker configuration. Your photo shows two staggered speakers. You may want to double check and see if the baffle board was changed out.
Both the Kustom and Kasino amps operate at maxumimun output on a 4 ohm speaker load.

Thanks.
The baffle board is glued in. No signs that it has been replaced. Nice and clean! Besides, the two 12" CTS speakers have a similar code as the speaker that is in my Kustom Charger Bass combo: 038-0079-00 (Kasino)to 038-0024-00 (Charger), both 8 - 16 Ohm. The identification plate reads: model CLUB L - 2. Now I think the 2 stands for two speakers and then the 1973 Kasino catalogue shows a 4x 10" Club Lead combo. This is a 1974 amp, maybe Kustom made a configuration change back then. The former owner told me he bought it from a band mate that purchased this amp new in 1974/5 at the Servaes Music Shop in The Hague, The Netherlands. The mentioned 100 Watts peak power I think is just commercial promotion talk for the real 60W RMS power. I believe I found the boards: PC5033/PC5128/PC5129.
At this moment there is a Kasino 2x 12" (the guy says 2x 10") on craigslist: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/msg/2457056033.html

Looks like we have a mystery. Kasino never offered here in the states a 2-12" model or a 2-10" model. That's not to say that Kustom didn't do some odd amps as they were clearing out stock at that time. Kasino didn't last much longer than 1975 and all the old Kasino catalogs I have and having been a kustom/kasino dealer until 1979, I know there are some odd PA cabinets that were standard height, yet contained odd number of smaller speakers. The one for sale in the link is the same height as yours. There would have been no reason from manufacturing stand point to make such a tall cabinet for a staggered 2x12 speakers. It appears that you amp is the same height as the 4x10" speaker that is shown in the 1974 catalog.
As far as the model L#2 I would take it to mean a reverb head, and the matching Club bass amp might be B#1 head without reverb. hard to say after almost 40 years.
In all the years we sold kustom and kasino's I've never seen one with a glue in Baffle board. In any event the PC5033 is the same power amp that was used in the K150 PA head, sidewinder, commander, hustler, and Charger amps.

Hi pleat,
It's nice to meet someone that's been close to the source. There is so little on Kasino amps on the internet. I think this tread will provide some useful information on these nice amps. I will send in some pics I just took of the baffle board and the speakers. Maybe I'm wrong and the baffle board is not glued in. But it looks so much like the seventies Fender amp baffle boards. The grill board is screwed to the baffle board from the inside.

Very interesting and nice amp. The speakers are CTS the top one has been re-coned at one time and the bottom is original. You can tell by the seem over lap on the cone. they are 8-16 Ohm speakers that are normally about 12 Ohms

Well, maybe. Both cones are stamped '1252 6'. This amp is an 230V Export model. So the reconing would have been done over here in The Netherlands using an original CTS cone and dust cap, I suppose.
