I was just curious if someone can use a standard Home Depot extension cord to replace the stock 2 prong power chord.

Also, other than safety, does this benefit the amp at all? I've noticed that when I plug in my boss GT10, I get an annoying buzz. When I touch my Boss GT10 unit, the buzz stops.

Will adding a 3 prong chord fix that buzz issue?

Hey Rick sorry I went by your post/question the other day, but if you do a search here this topic has been covered many times and you can get things resolved.

Oh SWEEEEEEET!

I just changed the power cord. I used to get a lot of nasty buzz from the amp. It's gone. Mind you my chain was, guitar -> Boss GT10 -> AMP. Now all I get is just a very slight hiss. I had no idea that this very easy mod would make such a HUGE difference.

A year and a half ago, I wanted to get rid of this amp, hell even little as 6 months ago. Now I have absolutly no desire to get rid of it. In fact, I can see getting another one so I can have stereo FX processing out of my Boss GT10.

Cool
