hey all... I'm not in the cab all that often but when I am, I can't stand running my hand through all that fiberglass stuffing when trying to get at my amp mounting screws.
Have any of you ever taken it out and replaced it with anything? I'd prefer a cotton batting, have any of your ever tried using it and if so, did you find that it worked well?

the cotton would work, but fall apart and may be start to smell if you live in a humid area.
Why not just staple an old tee shirt over the fiberglass in that area, it will still provide the same absorbtion to sound.

A buddy of mine replaced the black fibre glas insulation with some new insulation that he found at partsexpress.com and his 215+H cabs are rock solid. The new stuff is white, and you won't get the itchie's handling it.
