I come across another poor kustom headed for a trash heap. Consider this one saved and ready for its next gig. I've been playing it and it Kicks A$%%$@. Thought I'd share a picture or 2 at my link below. Thanks for checking it out. Steve C

I have a ton of Kustoms and restoring these keeps me fresh on fixing my own if they have a problem. I also cant stand to see them being scraped or parted out "Tuck N Roll models that is". They dont make them anymore and when they're gone thats it so I do my part to see that they live on. Steve C

If you are recovering these yourself, can you tell me how hard it is to find a match for the colors and where you get the material? I have a cascade K200A-4 head and am building a cab for it. I would like to match the color and material if possible.

Oh, nice collection by the way. Now I know why it's hard to find these things, you have them all. Very Happy

I've collected these over the last 30 some years. I had my first venture with Kustom around 1980 and love it for the sound. The color matching I cant help you with because the material changes with age in most cases. The cascade shouldn't be too bad to match but even it changes some. I get my naugahyde from Gary's Upholstry out of Florida. Just look him up on the web. The only way to be sure they match is to recover both with the same fabric. In your case its only 20 pleats more to recover the head while your at it. Black isn't a problem at all. You may be able to pull up a corner somewhere on the head and snip a sample and send to Gary's upholstery so they may be able to match that way. The A models had hammer in glides on the bottom, you may pull one out and see how much color change has taken place.
