The one listed is a China built Kustom. The pa that most people refer to the Johnny Cash model was the K300 PA amp with the 303 cabinets. Each cab contained 2x15 and the Altec horn.

I know the covering was really thin. I bought a pair of used 4x12 red cabs at a yard sale and you could see the cloth backing through the red. As far as failure rates, I know I bought a TRT50 new and it was DOA. Took me a month to get my money back. I've never heard one that actually works.

Along with the covering being thin, the sparkle color`s are on a black back ground, not a silver back ground like the real Haugahyde and it makes for no shimmer under stage or normal lighting.
The difference between my 2001 4-12 cabinet in blue and my vintage blue 3-15 cab is substantial!

That's really sad. Someone had a good idea, but just executed it poorly. If they'd used REAL Zodiac, and had used better insides, it could have been successful. Especially if they'd offered the option of the new tube-based designs (which looked promising on paper), or complete clones of the originals. They sure looked good from a distance, anyway.
At least with the Krossroad amps, they got the Naugahyde right.
